The law demands a long range of genuine documents that confirm a person’s Jewish origin. If there are no genuine documents, it is necessary to collect a number of certificates issued by Ukrainian archives and databases, or by respective facilities of other countries where ancestors of olim used to live. It demands a lot of time for all the trips, plenty of money and patience. Apart from this, it is necessary to get the notarized permission of living parents for repatriation of even adult children, and a number of other notarized papers. Recently, the growth of Aliyah was visible in several countries.

In 2014, France has shown the biggest Aliyah of 6,500 persons, and Ukraine - 5,700. Let’s compare the social level of olim from Ukraine and France. Still, social standards in the two countries are incomparable.

Within the 24 years of Independence, Ukraine has not reached European social standards but even has mover backward. The war in Ukraine has aggravated the situation.
